The 4th Annual Brooklyn Pie Contest is happening at The Bedford in Williamsburg this Sunday, January 23rd. Like every year, some heavy-hitters are set to judge the revelry, including pastry chefs from Momofuko Milk Bar, Four & Twenty Blackbirds, and Baked. And of course, there are rules: only the first 50 pies will be judged, pies must be made entirely from scratch, and you may only submit one pie. Following the judging, it’s a free-for-all to taste as many pies as you can, so sharpen your elbows people! $10 for guests, free if you submit a pie.

Sunday January 23rd, 5:30 to 8pm at The Bedford, 110 Bedford Ave (At N. 11th St.), Williamsburg. $10 (free with pie submission)

That photo is from the 1st Annual Brooklyn Pie Bake-Off Benefit from 2009! Not to be confused with 4th Annual Brooklyn Contest. The Bake-Off Benefit donates funds raised from the event to underfunded organizations and just happens to be the best pie bake-off to occur in NYC!
