The crew at the Red Hook Winery have been biding their time and refining their wines, but after five years of hard work, these local vintners are ready to shine. The Winery exclusively uses grapes grown on the North Fork of Long Island, and barrels and ages all their wines just across the street from the Sixpoint Brewery in Red Hook. While they’ve faced some skepticism from those with prejudice against New York grapes, the tide seems to be turning. In addition to being served at many restaurants in Brooklyn, they’ve recently been added to the lists at Blue Hill and Momofuku. The Wall Street Journal has the latest.
