Do you sometimes love Brooklyn so much you just want to take a big ol’ BITE out of it? Here’s your chance! Support City Harvest (which feeds over 300,000 people each week!) at their artisanal market/fundraiser, The Brooklyn Local. According to their website:

On Saturday, September 17th City Harvest will celebrate the best of Brooklyn’s culinary world at The Brooklyn Local, a not-to-be-missed shopping experience for true urban foodies. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy:

The Artisanal Market, with over 75 vendor booths (click here to see a current list of vendors) 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The Tasting Tent with private seating, featuring 15 of Brooklyn’s best restaurants, hosted by Frank Castronovo and Frank Falcinelli of Frankies Spuntino and Prime Meats (click here to see a current list of restaurants) 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Interactive Kids Zone featuring cooking demonstrations and children’s activities
Celebrity Chef Book Signings (check back soon for a list of chefs and times!)
Gift bags for sale filled with a selection of quality products from the market

Tickets to the market are $5 for individuals or $20 for families. All-access tickets to the Tasting Tent are $60 for adults, $20 for kids. Seems like a fun way to support City Harvest, stock up the pantry, stuff yourself to the gills, and get alllll Brooklyn-y.
