Fleisher’s Meats, one of New York’s first sustainably-focused butcheries, is set to return to Brooklyn this fall.  Founded in 1901 in what’s now Windsor Terrace, Fleisher’s was one of the first butcheries to emphasize local procurement and naturally-raised, grass-fed beef. The shop eventually moved upstate to Kingston but has been able to maintain a loyal following in Brooklyn over the years through their home delivery service.  They’ve managed to grab some prime real estate at 192 5th Ave, right across from local favorite Beirkraft – so you can easily pick up some brew with your steaks!

Fleisher’s has not set a firm date for the opening but they are targeting early fall.
