Colonie takes root on a tree-lined block of Atlantic Avenue, two blocks from the East River, perched on the edge of Brooklyn Heights. Drawing inspiration from the history and beauty of the surrounding historic neighborhoods, Colonie strives to support the New York food community by using as many local purveyors as possible, while providing the locals and neighbors with a comfortable, inviting spot to drink and dine. Colonie is thrilled to have Brad McDonald as our executive chef. Brad shares our passion for sourcing the best and freshest local and seasonal ingredients available, and he will continue to carry on the Colonie vision of using sustainably grown food in the context of our approachable, neighborhood-friendly, seasonal American menu. Having worked in some of the most acclaimed restaurants in the world, including Alain Ducasse at the Essex House, Per Se, and Noma, he has mastered time-honored traditional techniques and cutting edge innovations.
