Greenmarket was founded in 1976 with a two-fold mission: to promote regional agriculture by providing small family farms the opportunity to sell their locally grown products directly to consumers, and to ensure that all New Yorkers have access to the freshest, most nutritious locally grown food the region has to offer. GrowNYC manages Greenmarkets throughout Brooklyn. In addition to the weekly flagship market at Grand Army Plaza every Saturday, there are Greenmarkets at the following locations: Brooklyn Boro Hall - Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Saturdays Carroll Gardens - Sundays Cortelyou Rd - Sundays Fort Greene Park - Saturdays Greenpoint McCarren Park - Saturdays Windsor Terrace - Wednesdays Check our website for lists of each of the participating vendors at each market.
