  Inspired by ABC Kitchen’s awesome salted caramel popcorn sundae (and a post left by a fan on our ice cream corkboard in the shop). Play Ball!

  Our new oven was christened this morning (after our 15 year old oven broke last week). We’ve been baking up a storm all day! Ooey gooey butter cakes, fudge brownies, Salted Crack Cookies and Nonna D’s oatmeal cookies. The shop smells so good right now.
  And PS – Ooey Gooey Butter Cake ice cream is coming back :)

  The first entry in our international flavor of the month, suggested by fan Jennifer Deluca Ajami, picked from over 50 really tasty sounding entries.

  We’ll be creating a new flavor from a different country every month for the next year!

  The winning country for the first month in our international flavor contest is … MOROCCO. For this flavor we’ll be making a sweet cream ice cream with fresh mint and swirls of fig paste. Sounds so good.

  We will be debuting this Moroccan inspired ice cream flavor in later next week.

  New flavor! Introducing ”April Showers”: A twist on our most popular flavor Salted Crack Caramel, it’s a salted caramel ice cream with chocolate covered cherry blossoms from the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
  Due to the early warm weather, the BBG has a plethora of excess cherry blossoms that we hand picked fresh at the height of bloom and dipped in 72% E. Guittard dark chocolate.
  100% local and organic, the salt in the salted caramel is mined from the tears of hipsters listening to the latest Snowmine album (which I shouldn’t even be listing here because they might get too big).
  We work in small batch artisanal but this is uber small batch, available today only!

  Our Peppermint Pattie is one of ”The 2012 Best Things to Eat in New York” – ”I have a weakness for mint chip as well as dark chocolate ice cream, and the fact that they put both of these together makes this a must-have, especially for Brooklynites! They use local milk in this all-natural ice cream mixed with homemade Peppermint Patties, plus 20 other great flavors!”

  We had a delicious dinner at newly opened restaurant 606 R&D (diagonal to our shop on Vanderbilt Ave). Rotisserie chicken, carrot-parsnip pancakes, Poor man’s fondue, Rotisserie toast with Benton bacon among other things, all super tasty!

  We’re using their homemade donuts in our new Brooklyn’s Finest flavor (coffee and donuts) and they’re using our cinnamon ice cream in their apple dessert.

  For the New England Patriots: A homemade Boston cream pie (cake, vanilla custard and swirl of chocolate ganache) in vanilla ice cream.
