On Monday, July 11 (that’s next Monday, people), beginning at 5:30pm, Nona is presenting our first ever event in conjunction with 61 Local, the Local Roots CSA, and Cathy Erway.
Anna Wolf of My Friend’s Mustard — a line of spicy beer mustards made with Red Hook’s own Sixpoint Craft Ales — and Mike Kurtz of Mike’s Hot Honey, a pepper-infused honey inspired by a discovery made on a hiking trip in Brazil, will both be in the house, offering tastings.
Cathy Erway has put together a couple of special menu items that will be available on Monday only:
- Deviled egg with My Friends Mustard spicy brown ale mustard and Sixpoint rooftop microgreens ($2)
- Grilled cheese with Mike’s Hot Honey, Landaff Creamery Cheese and home-roasted red peppers ($5)
Special beer pairings will be on tap as well.
There’s no charge. All are welcome. Stop by, meet Anna and Mike, take home some My Friend’s Mustard and Mike’s Hot Honey, and try the specials featuring their goods…and the beer – glorious beer.
61 Local is a new bar and hangout featuring great beer and food from local chefs and brewers. It’s located at 61 Bergen St. in Cobble Hill.
