Sweet, savory, or wood-fired brick-oven style – however you slice it, Brooklyn has good pie. You know it. Time Out New York knows it too.

TONY unveiled their 2011 Food & Drink Awards last week, and the critics gave the nod to Gowanus pie chapel Four & Twenty Blackbirds as ‘Artisan of The Year,’ while the readers tapped Greenpoint’s Paulie Gee’s for ‘Best New Pizza,’ and Williamsburg’s Pies ‘n’ Thighs for ‘Best Southern Comfort.’

No, devotion to pie wasn’t a requirement. Williamsburg’s Dram was the reader’s pick for ‘Best New Cocktail Bar’ and fellow Billyburger Fatty ‘Cue took ‘Best New Brooklyn Restaurant.’

The winners got more than just trophies this year. T.O. went the extra mile and styled  personalized victory tats for the champs, not-so-subtly reinforcing the notion that these kinds of awards are all about the good ink, right?

    Can I just say what a relief to find soenome who actually knows what theyre talking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring an issue to light and make it important.
