There is little debate that Brooklyn’s beloved Red Hook Lobster Pound makes some of the tastiest lobster rolls in NYC. The only problem with making a trip to the Pound was that aside from one bench on the sidewalk outside, there was nowhere to sit down, relax, and properly enjoy your roll … Until now. The Pound recently opened a spacious seating area right next door, so you can now enjoy your roll in style.
Ralph Gorham, co-owner of the Pound with wife Susan Povich, also owns Brooklyn Farm Table, a shop that crafts tables from wood recycled from old buildings on the Brooklyn waterfront and adjoining neighborhoods. The Lobster Pound seating space occupies the front section of his workshop, so when you stop by for a roll, ask about checking out some of his tables too.
