Winter Beekeepers Mixer

Whiskey, Pickles & Jerky Tasting
Brooklyn Oenology hosts this tasting, which pairs pickles from Rick’s Picks, Brooklyn Brine, and McClure’s with Kings County Distillery‘s bourbon, Finger Lakes Distilling‘s McKenzie Rye Whiskey, and wheat whiskey from Breuckelen Distilling, plus additional snacks from Field Jerky. New Year’s Sausage and Holiday Treats
Get ready to ring in the new year with Brooklyn Cured at this hands-on class! Founder Scott Bridi will show you how to make some traditional holiday varieties, including Italian New Year’s sausage and andouille sausage. Everyone gets to sample the goods paired with some of 61 Local‘s beers, and you’ll get to take home some fresh-made sausage to enjoy at home. Learn more and get tickets.

Smoked Meat and Sixpoint Dinner
Bark Hot Dogs is hosting a five course smoked-meat dinner, featuring Wisconsin-based Neuske’s Smoked Meats. Each course will be paired with a different creation from Red Hook’s Sixpoint Craft Ales (including the yet-to-be-released Mad Scientist #7). Dishes include smoked pork croquettes, a bacon cheddar dog, smoked and braised pork shoulder with crispy egg, choucroute garni, and almond brioche bread pudding (with smoked bacon maple sauce). The Cookie Takedown
The next installment of The Takedowns promises to be a sweet tooth’s paradise when it hits The Bell House next month. You’ll get to sample treats from 30 amateur bakers, and if that weren’t enough, there’ll be an hour of free (spiked) eggnog, courtesy of Bulleit Bourbon. Stay tuned for more details, but it’s never too early to get tickets.

North Carolina BBQ Pop-Up
Sycamore welcomes roving pop-up The Fat Beagle and its Carolina-style comfort food. For $20 you get a plate of barbecue and other Southern delights, paired with North Carolina beers. Get more info here.

Winter Cocktails
