Café Pedlar is upping the ante for those on the search for a good cup of coffee in Brooklyn. There’s been a lot of buzz recently about how high-quality beans don’t guarantee a high-quality cup: the brewing approach is half the battle.

While Cafe Grumpy and a few other spots have been brewing cups to order for some time, the recently-opened Stumptown Roastery’s Tasting Room in Red Hook amplified the message by focusing on teaching at-home brewing techniques to get the most out of those fine beans (tip – Mr. Coffee does not make the cut). Now Cafe Pedlar on Court Street in Cobble Hill has made the leap to brew their single-origin Stumptown coffees to order. Patrons can opt for Chemex or French-press brews, or try both!

There’s a lot happening on the coffee front in Brooklyn these days. For more, see Brooklyn Based’s profile of The Brooklyn Roasting Company.
