Warning! Gratuitous Pie Pics!

When sisters Emily and Melissa Elsen teamed up last year to open their own Gowanus pie shop, Four & Twenty Blackbirds, they probably didn’t expect to get quite so much hype so quickly.  Since opening, they’ve been featured on the Cooking Channel, in New York Magazine, The New York Times and pretty much everywhere else.  Never underestimate the power of pie.  Particularly really good pie.
