The Barclays Center, the giant arena taking shape at the corner of Flatbush and Atlantic, is opening this fall. They're seeking Brooklyn-based food purveyors to feed the crowds.

Barclays Center, you know, that giant arena going up on the corner of Flatbush and Atlantic, is coming alive, and it’s hungry. The Barclays Center crew is seeking Brooklyn-based food businesses to ring the floor of battle and feed the roaring masses.

Could this mean we could be stuffing our faces with Red Hook Lobster Pound Maine-style rolls, Mile End poutine, Bark hot dogs or No. 7 Sub sandwiches at game time? Or snacking on Roberta’s pizza, Littleneck whole-belly clam rolls, or Landhaus BLT’s when the circus comes to town? All while sipping Sixpoint and Kelso brews?

We’ll find out soon enough – Jay Z will christen the big room with a concert at the end of September.

The Barclays Center crew is seeking Brooklyn-based food applicants now. Tell your favorite slingers to apply on their website here.

Come to think of it, shouldn’t there be a farm on top of this thing?
