Is your food wishlist getting a little long? Restaurants you’ve been wanting to try, classes you’ve been meaning to take, behind-the-scenes tours you’ve been fantasizing about all piling up?
If so, you might want to dive into Just Food‘s online auction to raise funds for the organization and for farmers impacted by the flooding from Irene.
Among the slew of Brooklyn-based offerings are a wine and chocolate pairing at nunu chocolate, dinners at Eagle Street Rooftop Farm, Brucie, and Mile End; a tasting at 61 Local; classes at Marlow & Daughters, Fleisher’s Meats, Brooklyn Homebrew and Stumptown Coffee; private tours of Mast Brothers’ chocolate factory, Sixpoint Brewery, Gotham Greens, and DeKalb Market and Farm; a foraging adventure with Leda Meredith and more.
Many of the bids are still low, so polish up those auction paddles and get to work! The auction runs through September 23rd (next Friday).
Just Food is a non-profit organization dedicated to building relationships between regional farmers and city residents, with the goal of making fresh, local food available in every neighborhood.
