As Joe Pesci was scolded in My Cousin Vinny: “No self-respecting Southerner ever uses instant grits!” (See below).  Apparently, neither do self-respecting Brooklynites.  This week, Shea Hess of video blog Hungry in Brooklyn stopped by The Brooklyn Kitchen and Williamsburg hotspot Egg to talk grits with a couple of people who are definitely in-the-know on this Southern treat.  Chef/Owner George Weld of Egg shows you how to make a simple grit and squash dish, then the Hungry crew heads back to their place to cook up a quiche-like dish.  No instant grits here, Vinny!
